infrastructure Overview
Indfrag has the ability to source the highest quality raw botanicals from a list of reliable suppliers. We have an active supplier base in Bulgaria, Germany, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Namibia, Poland, South Africa,
Sri Lanka, and USA
Raw Botanical Facilities
Our key strengths are in the manufacturing and research domains where we have a proven track record of delivering products on time and to specifications.
Manufacturing Facilities
Indfrag has six independent solvent extraction units. We have a variety of extractors to give us maximum flexibility and rapid setup times for small as well as large batch runs. Our extractors vary from a 200 liter capacity and go up to a 5000 liter capacity. We have several discrete manufacturing facilities so as to allow for parallel production runs. To ensure the highest quality, all production is carried out under GMP standards.
Research & Development
Our research and development facilities are divided into two principle disciplines
Testing and Quality Assurance
Testing and quality assurance is handled by the testing and quality assurance group in Indfrag's analytical laboratories. The chemists who work in the testing and quality assurance group possess Masters Degrees in Organic Chemistry and our labs are equipped with state of the art testing equipment which includes High Performance Liquid Chromatographs (HPLC), Gas Chromatographs (GC), Ultra Violet Spectra Photometers (UV) and Near Infra Red Analyzers (NIR). A microbiology lab is also maintained to ensure that the final product complies with US FDA BAM standards. Our test methods follow internationally recognized USP guidelines.
Product Development
The product development group has two main objectives. The primary objective is to develop extraction processes and techniques to support new product specifications in the shortest possible time frame. After a process is put into production the role of the product development group changes to support production by finding and testing innovative ways to streamline production and improve quality. To this end we have added significant value to customers. A few examples are as follows
-
Developing the capability to manufacture a salt with 70% Hydroxycitric Acid concentration from Garcinia Cambogia rind
-
Developing the capability to manufacture a 98% Polyphenol concentrate from Green Tea leaves
-
Developing the capability to manufacture a soft extract of 40% Gingerol concentration from Ginger rhizomes
-
Developing the capability to manufacture a soft extract of 8% Valerenic acids from Valerian roots
The secondary objective is to develop brand new product initiatives. By analyzing existing market trends our product development group has created new product offerings. Our product development labs are manned by chemists with Phd's and Masters Degrees in Organic Chemistry
Warehousing Facilities
To maintain low lead times and provide high levels of customer service Indfrag maintains warehousing facilities in India and the USA. The warehouses contain ready stocks of finished products. .
